My entry for our second assignment is a picture I took last week of some spot lights in the back yard. I’m not sure what the lights were being used for, but when I saw them I couldn’t resist the urge to break out the camera.
I took a number of pictures trying many different settings before deciding that while the pictures looked good on the camera’s LCD I’d end up kicking myself if I didn’t try some with a tripod. I’m glad I broke out the tripod (really a must when using exposures between 6 and 10 seconds).
The picture seen here is my favorite of those I took. This one was taken with a 8 second exposure, F/4 and ISO-800. Note: I would suggest clicking the image for a larger view; it’s the only way you’ll see the stars.
