The Lens Wipe is still the same, cool place that everyone in the whole world wants to visit But in efforts to make the site better, we made some changes.

First, this site: www.Lens-Wipe.com is no more. The new site is www.LensWipe.net. Why did I change it? Well for starters, I always hated saying the “dash” in the URL. On paper it was okay, but I never realized how awkward it was to say and explain to people. So the dash is gone… so is the com, but saying “dot net” is better than the “dash.” Plus I’m super pissed off at my web host. I changed. That’s a long story that’s not very entertaining.

Second, since I’m on a new site/new host, the podcast feed is different. The new podcast feed is http://www.lenswipe.net/feed/podcast/ If you’re using iTunes or Stitcher, you don’t have to do anything different. But if you were doing it yourself, you need to make the change.

So there you go. I hope it’s not an inconvenience. Enjoy the new site!!! If you have any questions, feel free to send them to me at lenswipepodcast@gmail.com

This is more of an FYI than anything. Posts have been few and far between on the Lens Wipe site. The only thing I’m being consistant with is the podcast updates/feeds.

The reason is that I’m making some changes. I’ve made it no secret that I’m no fan of my current web host. Their tech support has been… less than efficient. I’ve already lost one podcast due to their tech. So I’m being preemptive and doing my own… stuff.

The places where I am updating frequently is our Facebook page and Group. Just do a search for Lens Wipe and you’ll find them. You can also find me, Marc Sadowski, on Google +. So if the worst case scenario happens, you’ll be able to find us there. Pray that doesn’t happen!

It has been a killer few weeks. I know I’ve fallen back on posting Instagram Mondays to this site as well as other posts to keep this blog fresh and relevant. Office moved, my wife and I expecting another baby, it’s just crazy!

So this week, during lunch, I took some time to myself to actually enjoy the day.

I’m a firm believer of stopping to smell the flowers once in a while. It’s relaxing and it recharges that creative battery. Of course, while you’re smelling the flower, shoot a photo of it, too.

These photos are all taken in Boston Common and the Public Gardens. The weather, while a bit on the windy side, was very nice. And there was one day where it wasn’t.

Yeah, this was the day where it wasn't.

It was nice. The walk was great. According to the iPhone Run Keeper app I was walking 2 miles per day around the parks. All I took with me was my iPhone. I wasn’t intending to capture masterpiece landscapes – I just wanted to have fun and enjoy the day… and enjoy some good food in the area.

Awesome burgers and even better root beer by the Mercury Brewing Company!

My last photo is my favorite. I almost missed it, too. This tree looked like something right out of Lord of the Rings. The way the roots and mulch just seemed to grip… it was just incredible! The tree trunk was even better!

Just a really cool looking tree

I did very little editing to the photo, too. It was taken with the native app with HDR on. I then moved it into Instagram (username: lenswipe) where I applied some filter (forgot) and removed the border. I also added the Lux effect.

It was a good week. I hope things can get back to something resembling normal!

-Marc
