Going Macro: Part 3

Let there be light. In this third installment of Going Macro I finally decided to go get a light fixture for my lens. In my past two posts I described the problems I had with lack of good light on subjects with shooting macro. I tried bear bulbs, I tried fluorescent lights, I tried floodlights but nothing gave me a good picture. Finally I went back to good old Amazon.com and did little research. Again being the amateur of the group I chose one of the cheaper models but don’t let price stand in the way for you.

Going Macro: Part 2

In this second installment of going macro I’ll discuss my further adventures of trying to shoot small. After recovering from the back pain of being hunched over I asked a few of the other guys from The Lens-Wipe if they had any ideas about how to shoot macro. Going online showed a couple of tips about how to shoot macro but it was mostly with a macro lens that I didn’t have. After the guys made fun of me for various reasons about shooting small things I got one or two good pieces of information from them. To my surprise these pieces of information actually did help and I do believe that my being able to shoot macro has improved.
